Quang Ngai fishermen are ready for new fishing season.

The annual festival has been held for more than two centuries to pray for favorable weather, a bountiful catch, and safety at sea. 

"This festival carries the spiritual values of local fishermen. It attracts a large number of people from various places in Quang Ngai," said Le Truong Ni from Duc Pho town.

Nguyen Tien Dung, Director of the Quang Ngai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, "The festival demonstrates our determination to safeguard Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty. It also contributes to preserving coastal cultural heritage."
