(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group has upgraded internet infrastructure in Quang Ninh province to meet increasing service demand during National Tourism Year 2018.

It has set up more 4G base stations and upgraded 100 free wifi hotspots in Ha Long city, Co To island, and other tourist destinations at sea. Mobile stations will be deployed to ensure internet connections at major events throughout the year.
Quang Ninh province is hosting National Tourism Year 2018, themed “Ha Long-Heritage, Wonder, Friendly Destination”. It plans to hold 100 events and welcome 12 million tourists, including 5 million foreigners.
