(VOVWORLD) -Leaders of Quang Ninh province, home to the world heritage site of Ha Long Bay, introduced local strengths in developing tourism products at a conference to promote and attract tourism investment in Ha Long City on Wednesday.

They said the yacht racing as part of the Clipper Race itinerary in the 2023-2024 season is one of the key tourism investment attraction activities of Quang Ninh in the future. This is an important opportunity for the province to achieve its goal of welcoming 17 million visitors, including three million international visitors in 2024.
Cao Tuong Huy, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, told the conference: “Through Clipper Race activities, we hope to bring you wonderful experiences about the land and people of Quang Ninh. Hopefully, you will be a bridge to convey good impressions of our province to relatives, friends, and tourism partners so that this destination can have more opportunities to lure investment, develop infrastructure and attract more tourists.”
At the conference, Quang Ninh province awarded the best Clipper Race team in the race titled "Endless exploration of Ha Long Bay".
The Clipper Race was first organized in 1996 in the UK. Ha Long Bay was on the fifth leg within the Asia-Pacific Challenge where sailors took part in the race and different activities during the 10-day event last week.
