Radio Voice of Vietnam supports fisherman in Quang Ngai province to build new ship

(VOVworld) – Radio the Voice of Vietnam, Quang Ngai Fisherman Support Fund and Ho Chi Minh city’s municipal committee on Saturday presented a ship to fisherman Dinh Van Giau in An Hai commune, Ly Son district, Quang Ngai province.

On April 25th, Giau’s ship was burst into flame when it was going to the sea. Earlier, Giau received 20,000 USD in support from Radio the Voice of Vietnam and 30,000 USD from Quang Ngai Fisherman Support Fund. So far, Radio the Voice of Vietnam has contributed 40,000 USD to Quang Ngai Fisherman Support Fund to provide aid to fishermen who had sea incidents. Nguyen Xuan Hue is the Chairman of the management board of the fund: "Thanks to the support from Radio the Voice of Vietnam, Giau has managed to build this ship. More importantly, VOV has always supported fishermen nationwide especially in Ly Son district and updated information about Truong Sa and Hoang Sa". 

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh Municipal Committee presented fish detection and long-range communication equipment worth more than 100,000 USD to groups of fishermen in Ly Son district, Quang Ngai province.
