Remittance to Vietnam forecast to rise despite pandemic

(VOVWORLD) - Remittance  to Vietnam is estimated at more than 18 billion USD this year, according to the World Bank and the Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development.

The country will be the eighth largest remittance recipient in the world and the third largest in the Asia-Pacific region in 2021.

In 2020, Vietnamese abroad sent home more than 17billion USD.

According the World Bank’s Migration and Development Brief released recently, remittances to low- and middle-income countries are projected to have grown 7.3% to reach nearly 590 billion USD in 2021.
