(VOVworld) – The Republic of Korea and China agreed on Friday to strengthen cooperation in their efforts to denuclearize the Korean peninsula.

The deal was reached during talks in Seoul between Republic of Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Lee Kyung-soo and his Chinese counterpart Liu Zhenmin. During talks, the diplomats exchanged views on bilateral relations and agreed that the bilateral strategic cooperative partnership have reached positive achievements since 2013. The two countries decided to strengthen bilateral ties in 2014 and step up negotiations of Free Trade Agreement and cultural exchanges.
