(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung urged the coal industry to raise its capacity, reduce prices for further competitiveness and protect the environment.

At a working session with the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Corporation (Vinacomin) on Saturday, Mr. Dung asked the coal industry to assess and explore the natural resources, considering it foundation for the sector to develop. The sector is urged to have proper coal export and import plan, restructure coal enterprises to raise efficiency and competitiveness. The Deputy Prime Minister asked Vinacomin to  ensure labor safety and improve workers’ living standards.
