(VOVworld)- HCM City’s Farmers’ Association on Friday held conference to get its members’ comments on the revisions to the 1992 Constitution. President of the Farmers’ Association of Linh Dong ward, Thu Duc district, Do Van Thien proposed the Clause 34, which stipulated that everyone has the freedom of doing business, be changed to say that everyone has the freedom of doing business under the law. Ms Pham Thi Lang, a member of the city’s Farmers’ Association, says the Clause 36, Article 2 which says the state has policies to facilitate citizens having accommodation, should be changed to “the state has policies to facilitate individuals having accommodation” to include also foreigners working and living in Vietnam. The same day, Quang Ngai province organized a meeting to comment on the revised 1992 Constitution. Nearly 30 people contributed their opinions, Major Le My Son, Deputy Commander in Chief of the Border Soldier Station in Quang Ngai says: “We propose that the clause 69 in the chapter 4 stipulate that defending the fatherland is not only the cause of the entire people but also the responsibility of all citizens. This change shows that defending the fatherland is very important to every one”.

The Fatherland Front in Hoa Binh province has held a conference to get people’s opinions to the constitutional amendments. Delegates at the conference discussed the Party’s role, the protection of the Constitution, building a learning society, the state management in culture, sports and tourism, land and assets, marriage and family issues.
