(VOV) -  President of RoK – Vietnam Association (RVA) Choi Young Joo paid an official visit to Vietnam Monday on the occasion of 20 years of RoK – Vietnam diplomatic relations.

At the reception, Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said the RoK plays an important role in boosting the two countries’ economic relations. The association bridges the mutual understanding and cooperation between the government and enterprises. Hanoi expects to receive further support from Korea in terms of technology development, measures to deal with traffic congestion, and e-government construction. Hong added that Korea is Hanoi’s top foreign direct investor with 636 projects, accounting for 30% of the total foreign direct investment projects in Hanoi. In addition, Korea is the second biggest investor with USD 3.5 billion investment.
