(VOVworld) - Russian Academy for Vietnam and ASEAN studies held a workshop to review outcomes of the 12th national congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the country’s development prospect.  During the event in Moscow on Thursday, delegates praised the Party’s leadership role in all fields, especially in Vietnam’s independent foreign policy. In the context of increasing threats for security due to territorial disputes in the East Sea, delegates said Vietnam has initiated a correct policy to strengthen its military capacity to secure national security, social order, and stable political environment for growth. Anton Tsvetov from the Russian Federal External Relations Committee, said: “New members to the Party’s Central Committee will bring about new ideas and initiatives. Young members will be bold to make changes and create a new driving force for economic development and reform, raising Vietnam’s international image and growth.”
