Russia does not back Trump’s UN reform plan
(VOVWORLD) - Russia is not ready to support a draft US proposal to reform the United Nations, saying it is a step toward a unipolar world.

Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee for International Affairs Leonid Slutsky said on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly that Russia views the Trump Reform as a step in the “US coordinate system” towards a unipolar world order and a reduced role for the UN in the architecture of the 21st century.
President Trump hosted a short event Monday to boost support for changes to the United Nations. He said the UN has not reached its full potential because of bureaucracy and mismanagement and suggested the world's largest organization stop its old, ineffective ways.
