Russia transports 11,000 tons of humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine

(VOVworld) - Russia's Emergencies Ministry said on Friday the convoy of humanitarian relief left Rostov in Russia’s southern region for Donbass in eastern Ukraine.

A column of more than 130 trucks carry more than 1.2 thousand tons of humanitarian aid such as milk, meat, canned fish, sugar, equipment and materials necessary for the socially significant operations. 80 trucks will travel to Lugansk and the rest go to Donetsk.
A representative of the Emergencies Ministry said 50 trucks have arrived in Donetsk without any obstructions. This has been the 9th convoy of humanitarian relief from Russia to Donbass. Since August 11, a total a 11 thousand tons of humanitarian aid cargo has been delivered to Donetsk and Luhansk. Russia plans to form the tenth convoy before the New Year.
