Russian State Duma supports Vietnam’s major activities

(VOVworld) – Cooperative prospects topped the agenda of Thursday meetings in Moscow between Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son and First Vice Chairman of the Russian State Duma Ivan Melnikov, and Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) Genadi Zuganov. The meetings discussed economic development, internal and external policies, and the relationship between the two countries and Parties.

Melnikov said he is optimistic about the future relations between Vietnam and Russia, adding that Russia has already nominated delegates to attend the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly (IPU-132) in Hanoi: "A Russian parliamentary delegation led by Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council, will attend the event. We hope our participation will contribute to the success of this important event"
