Search and rescue competition during Nha Trang Sea Festival
(VOVWORLD) -The Nha Trang Sea Festival enlivened Khanh Hoa province with a competition of performing rescue and search actions involving 50 participants, who are members of search and rescue teams of coastal hotels and resorts.
The events included relay swimming, rescue with lifebuoys and boards, first aids, and triathlon. The winner was rescue team of Furama Da Nang resort. Nguyen Sy Khanh, Vice Chairman of Nha Trang city People’s Committee said: “The competition aims to exchange experience, learn techniques, and popularize search and rescue activities. Professional rescue forces are ready to help tourists and people.”
Earlier the same day, more than 1,000 athletes joined a marathon for community health in Nha Trang. The Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Culture and Sports held a beach football tournament for 8 local teams.
