(VOVworld)-A seminar called “Vietnam-France 40 years of diplomatic ties: review and prospects”  took place, yesterday/ on Thursday at the Luxembourg palace where representatives reviewed 40-year relationship between the two countries and discussed future cooperation.

This seminar was initiated by the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarian Group of the French Senate and Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung, one of many activities in the framework of the Vietnam—France exchange year.

Speakers from the French Development Agency and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research spoke of economic and tertiary education cooperation between France and Vietnam and examined prospects for future cooperation.   They agreed that a future strategic France-Vietnam partnership will offer France and the EU an opportunity to play a greater role in Asia, and help Vietnam bolster cooperation with EU countries for mutual benefit on a basis of equality and mutual trust.
