Nguyen Duc Trung, Chairman of the Nghe An provincial People's Committee, said the annual Sen Village Festival in May is an important political and cultural activity to show the people’s gratitude and respect to President Ho Chi Minh. Activities at the festival honor the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh and promote the campaign of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style.

The opening ceremony featured an art program called " Vietnam's Sun", co-organized by the Ministry of Public Security and Nghe An province. The program featured songs in praise of President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese nation.

This year's festival includes a range of cultural and tourism activities, such as the Sen Village Singing Contest and performances of the cavalry mobile police force.

The festival will close on May 19.
