Sierra Leone wants to learn Vietnam’s rice farming, seafood processing techniques

(VOVWORLD) -Sierra Leone wants to learn from An Giang rice farming techniques and seafood processing technology, and strengthen business cooperation in the Sierra Leone market as well as other countries, said President Julius Maada Bio during a visit to Vietnam’s southern An Giang province on Friday.

President Julius Maada Bio and Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on rice cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Sierra Leone and An Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company.

Sierra Leone's Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources signed a seafood cooperation agreement with Nam Viet Group Joint Stock Company.

Earlier, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Abu Bakarr Karim and Chairman of An Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Angimex) Do Thanh Nhan signed a memorandum of understanding on exporting 3 million tons of rice to Sierra Leone in 3 years.
