At the announcement ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Hoang Dao Cuong requested Ha Tinh province to soon develop Truong Luu village into a cultural village and map out a comprehensive plan to promote heritages.

Ha Tinh boasts many heritages recognized by UNESCO. They include ca tru (ceremonial singing), and Nghe Tinh's Vi-Giam singing. The woodblocks of Phuc Giang School, Hoang Hoa Su Trinh Do (The Envoy’s Journey to China), and the Sino-Nom Documents in Truong Luu Village are Vietnam’s three documentary heritages recognized in the Memory of the World Program for Asia and the Pacific.

Ha Tinh province is also the native land of Vietnamese great poet Nguyen Du, who was honored by UNESCO in 2015.
