At a trilateral meeting with visiting Chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina presidency Mladen Ivanic and Polish President Andrzej Duda in Slovakia, President Pahor said the situation in the Western Balkans is deteriorating, and the enlargement will help maintain peace and stability in the region.

Mr. Duda echoed to Pahor's idea during the joint press conference after their meeting and pointed to the active engagement of Polish soldiers in Bosnia-Herzegovina as part of NATO.

Mr. Ivanic said some European politicians and leaders understood the importance of the EU for the Western Balkans and Bosnia in particular, but said Bosnia-Herzegovina needs that support, as an isolated Bosnia will face internal tensions and differences.
