(VOVworld)- Hanoi’s major spring festivals began Wednesday, attracting Vietnamese and foreign visitors who want to pray for good health and good luck in the new year. The Saint Giong festival opened in Phu Linh commune, Soc Son district, with a ceremony to receive a certificate acknowledging Soc Son Temple as a special national relic site.  The same day, the biggest festival, the Huong pagoda festival, which will run for 3  months, received 40,000 visitors. The Co Loa festival also Wednesday attracted a large number of people. The annual festival honors King An Duong Vuong, who founded the first state in Vietnam’s history.
