(VOVworld) – On Saturday President Truong Tan Sang hosted a reception for members of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) executive committee who are in Hanoi to attend the 132nd IPU Assembly (IPU-132).

Welcoming the Union’s selection of Vietnam as the host of the IPU-132, he said he believes that the outcomes of the event will create a fresh impulse for each member’s growth, for a world of peace and development. He also expressed his hope that the Hanoi Declaration to be sent to the United Nations General Assembly will have great significance to underdeveloped countries and help narrow the development gap among nations.
