(VOVworld) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Wednesday held a conference to collect travel companies’ opinions on state management in tourism. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, who is also Head of the State Steering Committee for Tourism and Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended the event. This year, the tourism sector aims to welcome 6.6 million foreign tourists and 22 million domestic tourists. In the first 10 moths of this year, the sector has earned nearly 5 billion USD, up 15% against last year. In his address, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan highlighted travel companies’ contribution to Vietnam’s tourism development despite economic difficulties. "Vietnamese travel companies are the decisive factors of Vietnam’s tourism development. The State has also assisted travel companies to further develop but there are still lacks of connection between these enterprises. We hope that travel companies will contribute your ideas to help boost the tourism development".

At the conference, travel companies proposed ways to improve the quality of Vietnam’s tourism, especially to promote strong trademarks of the Vietnamese tourism sector.
