(VOVworld) – The Syrian government said it is ready to participate in Geneva II, a conference on Syria, but will not negotiate with “terrorists”. The statement was released on Sunday after Arab League Secretary General Nabil al Arabi said the Geneva II conference will take place November 23-24 in Geneva, Switzerland. However, UN-Arab League Special Envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi said the time for the conference has not been fixed because the Syrian opposition has not appointed a representative to attend the conference. Brahimi said UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon will decide the date and who will participate in the conference.
