(VOVworld) – Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on Wednesday that he is ready for direct talks with representatives of all the opposition groups, including militias.

Following a meeting with Assad, Dmitry Sablin, a member of the Russian State Duma Committee, said Assad wants to discuss Syria’s political structure with the Kurds. Assad also thanked Russia for its support in the fight against terrorism.
