Ted Cruz and Democratic senator Bernie Sanders won their Wisconsin primaries on Tuesday night, keeping alive their hopes in the race for the US presidency.

Cruz carried 54.2 percent of the vote to Trump’s 28.7 percent and Kasich’s lagging 15 percent. In Wisconsin, the Republican primary is a “winner-take-all” primary, giving Cruz 42 delegates bringing his delegate total to 513, and narrowing the gap between the Texas senator and his rival Donald Trump.
Sanders won his 6th consecutive victory with 53.4 percent of the vote to Hilary Clinton’s 46.2 percent.
