(VOVworld) – Thanh Hoa province’s 18th Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term opened on Wednesday. In his address, President Truong Tan Sang said delegates should determine the causes of the province’s shortcomings and discuss solutions for the future years.
He asked the province to improve its economic efficiency and competitiveness: “The province should continue to improve its investment environment, promote the application of scientific advances, and improve its human resources to create development breakthroughs. Infrastructure development should focus on transport, irrigation, and economic and industrial parks. Connectivity with other provinces in the region should be strengthened while promoting environmental protection and urban development and planning.”
President Sang said the province should also pay greater attention to developing social, cultural, educational, healthcare, and vocational training sectors.
The Party congresses of Ha Nam, Thai Binh, and Ninh Binh province were held on the same day.
