(VOVworld)- The 25^th meeting of the Vietnam-Lao border delegations took place on Monday in Da Nang city. The Vietnamese delegation was led by Le Hoai Trung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Border Committee, while the Lao delegation was headed by Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides said their border management has helped boost the special, traditional friendship and comprehensive, strategic cooperation between the two countries. They agreed on measures to strengthen economic development, trade, culture and tourism in their common border areas and to implement the government-level agreement on settling the issues of free migration and marriages without certificates. Both sides also agreed that the 26^th annual meeting of the Vietnam-Lao border delegations will be held in Laos and that the date will be negotiated via diplomatic channels.
