(VOVworld) - During the ongoing session of the National Assembly Standing Committee today/Monday, deputies questioned Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thai Binh on the recruitment and training of public servants and measures to improve local government capacity. Minister Binh reiterated the party and State’s attention to the improvement of communal level government by setting up a full-time administration:“We will initiate a proposal on policies for public servant working at communal government, especially those in disadvantaged areas. The Ministry will contribute opinions to policies on staff at local level, particularly amendments to Decree 92 to meet local needs.”

Minister Binh added that Vietnam is to renovate the wage and salary system in a master program by 2020. Earlier in the morning, Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien answered queries about necessary resources to meet the people healthcare needs. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen SInh Hung concluded Monday’s working session: “The question and answer session revealed important progress in healthcare, state administrative management and personnel organization. We welcome proposals and initiatives by the 2 ministers and asked them to accelerate the implementation in line with Party resolutions.”

The National Assembly Standing Committee’s session will wrap up this Tuesday.
