(VOVworld) - National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung hosted a banquet in Hanoi on Friday for members of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) executive committee who are in Vietnam to attend IPU 132.

The top legislator said he was pleased that the IPU executive board has agreed on a number of important issues, particularly the theme of the assembly as “The sustainable development goal, turning words into action”, ahead of the opening ceremony. 

He expressed his belief in the success of event based on the rich experience of the IPU members together with the high sense of responsibility and thorough preparation of the host. The guests were also treated to special music and water puppetry performances.
