(VOVworld) Various activities are underway nationwide to celebrate the traditional lunar new year festival. The Spring Press Festival is open to public until early February. All newspapers and publications on display will then presented to the ethnic minority people and border soldiers.

The southern province of Bac Lieu hosted a Spring Festival 2012 to celebrate the lunar new year, the founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and to honor the latest developments in the province. the event includes the Press Festival, the Exhibition of News Photos and Propaganda Paintings and a display of ornamental plants.

In the southern province of Binh Duong, local residents can spend their Tet holiday watching fine arts articles and photos at the on-going exhibition, which will closes on the 5^th day of the first lunar month. In addition, 800 art works by the local artists are also on display at the Spring Flower Festival. The Organizing Board has selected 92 best works for granting prizes.
