Trump declares Obamacare “dead”

(VOVWORLD) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday declared Obamacare “dead” and “gone,” on Monday but urged both Republicans and Democrats in Congress to craft a short-term fix of the healthcare markets under the 7-year-old law.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said that last week he "knocked out the cost-sharing reduction system or CSRs, that was a subsidy to the insurance companies, that was a gift" to insurers. But Trump noted that lawmakers are working on a "short-term fix". He said he would work to lower prescription drug prices, which he said were “out of control.
