(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump signed a waiver to postpone the US Embassy relocation to Jerusalem on Thursday.

Trump was immediately accused by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office of violating his campaign promise and impeding the Middle East peace process. Israeli authorities insist that embassies should properly be in Jerusalem, as that is Israel’s true capital.
Palestinian authorities praised Trump’s decision and said it will accelerate the Middle East peace process.
