(VOVworld)-National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on Saturday attended a ceremony to start the upgrade and expansion of the National Highway 15A and the construction of Truong Bon temple, showroom and memorial site in the central province of Nghe An. Located on the National Highway 15A, Truong Bon had an extremely important strategic position, during the anti-US war, serving as the only connecting points of key routes to supply human and material resources from the north to the southern battlefields. 

On this occasion, the province held an art exchange the same day to honor youth volunteers who sacrificed for national liberation along the road. Their life sacrifice made Truong Bon a sacred site for the Vietnamese people. Chairman of Nghe An provincial people’s committee, Ho Duc Phoc:“The heroic soldiers have been a sacred and bright examples for young generation to follow and pay tribute. They symbolize revolutionary heroism and make us never forget about the glorious national liberation history.”
