Turkey to set date for Presidential Election - ảnh 1
Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan

It will be the first time Turkey's head of state is elected by voters and not by the parliament following a change in the constitution. Gul can run for a new term, now limited to five years, but has not yet confirmed if he will do so. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has signaled possible interest in the presidency but only if the constitution is further amended in order to expand Presidential powerful role.
