(VOVworld) - Brexit secretary David Davis has unveiled the UK government’s Great Repeal Bill to end “the supremacy” of EU law in Britain, but has also confirmed that the influence of European legislation will continue long after the exit is complete.

Mr. Davis said the bill adds EU law to the British statutes and past rulings of the European Court of Justice will continue to be binding. He stressed the importance of the bill, saying that after Brexit, London will need regulations and standards similar to those of the EU in order to partner with the common market in the future.
