The meeting focused on air defense, ammunition, logistics, and other support measures, said US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who called for practical supports from the West to Ukraine after over a year of conflict. The members have provided military assistance totaling more than 55 billion USD to Ukraine, according to Austin.

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand also announced on Friday a new, military aid package for Ukraine worth approximately 29 million USD, including a contribution to the NATO Ukraine Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) Trust Fund.

NATO said it has yet to decide on Ukraine joining the alliance. A spokesperson for the German Government said that NATO members agreed to focus on continuous military, financial, and humanitarian aid for Ukraine for now, and thus, have not decided on Ukraine’s membership. However, they will continue to discuss the issue.

Meanwhile, EU's agriculture ministers from Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and Bulgaria have sent a joint letter to the European Commission, claiming that the list of Ukrainian products banned from being imported to these countries should be expanded.

Growing imports of agricultural products from Ukraine are causing serious market disruption and damage to EU agricultural producers, especially in member states bordering Ukraine or situated nearby, according to the ministers.
