United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says it’s on the Iranian side to prove that its nuclear program are genuinely for peaceful purposes. Speaking at the on-going World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Ban said the most recent report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) indicates that Iran’s nuclear program has something related to military dimension. The UN chief called for the resumption of peaceful talks to narrow differences over the Islamic Republic’s controversial nuclear program. Ban said the UN Security Council has approved 5 resolutions, including 4 resolutions on sanctions against Tehran. He urged Iran to fully adhere to the Council’s resolutions, saying that the nuclear crisis should only be settled through peaceful means.
