Members of the UN Security Council applauded activities that the PBC has carried out to cope with the pandemic and agreed there is a need for a comprehensive approach, coordination and cooperation among UN agencies, priority given to vulnerable groups, and enhancement of the role of local communities. They suggested the PBC adjust its priorities to factor in pandemic-related issues.

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of Vietnam’s permanent mission to the UN, shared his views on the pandemic’s impact and the importance of avoiding overlap in implementing UN programs and actions.
