(VOVWORLD) - The US Commerce Department said Wednesday that US GDP grew by 2.9 per cent in 2018, approaching the 3 per cent target set by President Trump.
Growth slowed to 2.6% in the last quarter due to lower-than-expected spending during the year-end holiday, but remained higher than some economists had predicted. This was the strongest annual growth in 13 years in the wake of sweeping tax cuts and fiscal stimulus.
