US Senate approves new Ambassador to Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) -The US Senate has approved President Donald Trump’s nomination of Daniel Kritenbrink, senior advisor for North Korea at the State Department, as US Ambassador to Vietnam to replace Ted Osius.

Kritenbrink holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and a master's degree from the University of Virginia. He has been a diplomat since 1994 and worked as senior director for Asian affairs for the National Security Council of President Barack Obama administration.
