The facility named S5 consists of 15 training rooms, able to accommodate 600 learners at the same time, and a 254-seat conference hall.

The equipment package will be used for training in setting up a level-two field hospital by the Vietnamese peacekeeping force, which is scheduled to run in South Sudan, replacing the UK’s facility in the second quarter next year.

US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius expressed his belief that Vietnam will succeed in international peacekeeping activities, adding that the nation has joined hands with the international community in addressing global issues.
