Various activities are underway to mark the 65th War Invalids and Martyrs Day
(VOVworld) – Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan today/ on Tuesday visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Ninh Binh province on the occasion of 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
Ms. Doan also visited a war invalids treatment center in Nho Quan district. She asked the provincial authorities to have great concern to policies for those who rendered great service to the nation and help children of policy beneficiaries in vocational training and employment.
Nearly 200 heroic mothers and war veterans and some outstanding individuals and collectives in the movements of gratitude were honored at a get-together today/ on Tuesday in Gia Nghia commune, Dac Nong province. Bui Quoc Bao is a war invalid from Dac Ha commune, Dac Glong district: "Policy beneficiaries have received great concern in material and spiritual lives. Every year, district’s Chairman and Secretary of the District’s Party Committee visit and present gifts to martyrs’ families and war invalids. We will continue to bring into full play of revolutionary spirit in present life".
Meanwhile, the Southern province of Kien Giang spent 3.8 billion VND supporting policy beneficiaries in the province on this occasion. The province is expected to complete the construction of 500 charity houses this Friday.
