(VOVworld)- On Friday, the President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan met with Cham ethnic minority people in Phuoc Thai and Phuoc Huu communes, Ninh Thuan province.

In his address, Mr. Nhan praised the local learning promotion movement which has helped all local children to go to school. He asked Ninh Thuan province to pay more attention to preserving and developing the language, script and tangible and intangible cultural heritages of different ethnicity groups including the Cham. He urged the local authorities to restructure agricultural and livestock production, promote the development of cooperatives and help local farmers to find outlets for their agricultural products. The same day, Mr. Nhan worked with local Fatherland Front Committee.
