(VOVworld) – The sports and physical education sector has set a target of improving its achievements at major sports events this year to catch up with others in the region and the world.

At a conference held Wednesday in Hanoi by the General Department of Sports and Physical Education, the sector said it wants to achieve better results in regional and global sports tournaments and apply science and technology in the athletic training. The Department announced the Prime Minister’s approval of a plan for developing Vietnam’s sports and physical education sector to 2020 with a vision to 2030 as well as policies to reward outstanding coaches and athletes.
