Receiving Nebraska’s Governor John Pete Ricketts in Hanoi yesterday, PM Phuc said that Vietnam considers the US one of its most important partners, and wants to promote the comprehensive partnership between the two countries. Trade and investment cooperation between the two countries have been expanding, with two-way trade surpassing 60 billion USD, the PM noted. Vietnam is working to balance bilateral trade, he said, showing his delight that Nebraska has exported many kinds of goods to Vietnam, including beef, with growth of more than 120 percent over the previous year.

Ricketts affirmed that the US and Nebraska state in particular are keen on boosting relations with Vietnam, noting that Nebraska is accommodating a large number of Vietnamese people.
