Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue made the request during his reception in Hanoi on Wednesday for Haoliang Xu, Director of the Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Xu praised Vietnam’s policy of economic reforms, which have advanced MDG programs, notably in poverty reduction. Xu said he hoped that the UNDP, now a sponsor of Vietnam, would become its development partner to bring added value to Vietnam’s socio-economic development programs.
