Dung praised the Toronto Group for holding practical dialogues and cooperation forums for foreign ministries and discussed Vietnam’s experience in promoting the role of the private sector in external, political, economic and cultural activities at home and abroad.

Participants from nearly 30 member countries focused on the challenges facing foreign affairs ministries against the background context of rapid globalisation, particularly regarding personnel and finance.

The Toronto Group includes 30 member countries which gathers every two years to find ways to improve the effectiveness of diplomatic ministries in the context of a rapidly changing world.

The group was set up under the initiative of Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs.
