More than 200 experts and scholars analyzed the process and gave recommendations on policy for the country’s growth, contributing to realizing Vietnam’s development goal through 2045.

Participants focused their discussion on major trends in the world, the reform of public administration, measures to overcome the middle-income trap, as well as the reform of the financial sector, urbanization and sustainable development.

“There are three significant opportunities here for Vietnam. First, there's a new understanding of industrialization, modernization, the growth model, and the development of the socialist-oriented market economy. Second, Vietnam is connecting its industry with its digital infrastructure. Third, Vietnam can make full use of its strategic geographical advantage to become a bridge between ASEAN and East Asia,” said Doctor Pham Ngoc Bau of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
