(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese team defeated host Myanmar 2-1 in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2016’s Group B opening match on Sunday.

At a press conference after the match, Vietnamese coach Nguyen Huu Thang said Vietnam appreciates each match and each rival.

Malaysia topped Group B with a 3-2 victory against Cambodia, followed by Vietnam with a 2-1 victory over Myanmar. Vietnam will have their second match on Wednesday against Malaysia.
