Vietnam bolsters wooden interior furniture exports via High Point Market fair

(VOVWORLD) - A Vietnamese business delegation has recently participated in the High Point Market (HPM) Furniture Fair in the United States .

The delegation's participation is part of the the National Trade Promotion Program 2023 to promote the Vietnam's national image and brand and boost the export of Vietnamese wooden furniture and interior design products in the US. 

At this year's event, the Vietnamese delegation includes 16 businesses displaying high-quality handicrafts, interior and exterior design products tailored to the US market. Vietnam's pavilion covers more than 460 m2 of exhibition space. 

Wood and wooden products are considered Vietnam's key export products, contributing to export turnover. For many years, the US has been the largest consumer market for wooden furniture exports from the Vietnamese market.

According to Le Hoang Tai, deputy director of the Trade Promotion Agency, last year’s exports of wood and wooden product to the US reached more than 8.48 billion USD, which was 54.1% of Vietnam's total exports of wood and wooden products. 

Vietnamese businesses' participation in the event will promote Vietnamese wooden furniture and interior design products in the US market, facilitate exports of these products in the time ahead, and bolster the Vietnamese brand in this lucrative market.

High Point Market fair is the largest and most prestigious fair in the wooden interior and exterior design industry, with a exhibition space of more than 900,000 m2.

The delegation's participation at this year fair is facilitated by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) in collaboration with domestic and foreign partners.
